And so it begins...

I know I haven't been on here in awhile and I doubt anyone has noticed but here we go anyway.

So my son, now 21 months, has decided that he is confident enough to walk. So he's been doing that all week and doing well! Yay! He gets to wear shoes!

My husband and I started school this week. We are both doing Medical Insurance Billing and Coding. David all started a new job and will be taking campus classes 4 days a week. That means we won't be seeing much of him. I am taking my classes online for now.

Anyway, just a bit of an update. Gotta get the kids dinner before they scream at me! :o)

Oh the excitement....

So we've had cockroaches for the past several months, well, pretty much since we moved in 6 months ago. The landlord knows but really doesn't do much except to call an exterminator which does even less. I so want to move but we really can't afford to. Hopefully in 6 months we can.

Anyway, so tomorrow we are setting off a fogger to hopefully kill them off. Since we have to be gone for 4 hours, we are going to run errands: Target, the library, and car maintenance. I'm excited for the library. I am going to be getting books on plot and such and excited to read them.

Then when we get home, it will be deep cleaning. Since we are opening the cupboards, we've got to wash all the dishes. Totally worth it if this fogger takes care of the cockroaches!

Random thought for today: maybe I will have the hubby bring home tacos.

Big Daddy Weave - Audience Of One

I've been struggling lately with how God fits into the crap my family and I have been through. I'm still struggling but this song really moved me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Welcome 2011!

Well, a new year is here and I couldn't be happier. 2010 was a crappy year and I'm glad it's over. I'm hoping 2011 will be better. A lot of people talk about resolutions and goals they would like to complete before the year is over. I don't usually do that but last year I did and it wasn't a hard goal. My goal for 2010 was to finish the crafts I had started. There were 4 that I was really concentrating on: a blanket for my newborn son, Chase, a quilt and cross stitched Christmas stocking for my daughter, and a cross stitched picture for my husband. I finished the blanket for my son and the stocking for my daughter. I am almost done with the picture for my husband; probably finish it within the week if I work on it every day. And the quilt, well, I'm almost done but since it's so big and I have no room at my apartment, I have to do it at my parents' house. I will start doing that next week.

So my goals for 2011 are: finish the craft projects and start more, work on my stories and get them submitted to magazines, write a couple of stories, and enter 1 or 2 writing contests. I think I can manage that!

What are your goals?
